Android Client Problems

Hello I am a player from another RSC server. I won't mention the name for advertising reasons. I seen you guys have runecrafting implemented and was hoping to give this server a try, however when I download the Android client it will not install it comes up with a message saying " there is a problem parsing the package. I understand my phone is an older model, it is a Samsung Galaxy S4, I was just wondering if perhaps it is mu phone at fault or is their an issue with the client on your end.

Hi and welcome !
Firstly, is your phone up to date? Check Firmware and then check java. Run from the file manager when downloading the client.

Check your phone "Device info" what android version its running and if possible, update! I believe lowest version that supports the app is 4.0

Still having trouble with getting the apk to install. Trying to install the Apk and it comes up with the same message " there is a problem parsing the package". I have enabled the install applications from unknown sources" and it doesn't help. I have deleted the apk file and tried reinstalling. My phone is currently running Jellybean 4.2 but if the lowest version supported is 4.0 that shouldn't be a problem ( default operating system on Galaxy S4 is jellybean 4.2 never bothered updating OS). It has nothing to do with the java or app permissions I don't believe because I have played other RSC servers with Android clients and they run smoothly without problems. I have went online to check possible solutions to the package parsing error and followed up on each and every solution, and still I can't install the Apk. It might have something to do with my phone is rooted and I need to unroot and restore original android kernel stuff
