I think it would be pretty cool to implement a feature (possibly involving the completion of a very short mini quest) allowing players to essentially walk anywhere in the non-wilderness map and save that location (only one location allowed at a time) as a custom teleport area. Make it an 80+ magic level spell or something similar. Maybe a new item that all NPCs drop occasionally called a "Custom Teleport Scroll".

The concept would be, if I were to walk somewhere (such as a dungeon, or gnome village, or somewhere that's not super close to an existing teleport location) then I can set that location as a custom teleport spot. If I want to change that coordinate, I can simply walk to another spot and save that as my new custom teleport area. It's not so much about saving time as opposed to walking, as much as it's just a new feature that helps set the server apart. I'd use it just because it's a cool ability to be able to tele to the exact spot you want without being a staff member.

Set point to dragons. Holding a dragon ammy would really ease the task.
Nearly as much as a dead zone we had under edge for ranging..
