Over the course of the last few months, our development team has worked very hard to bringing you the best RuneScape Classic experience anyone has to offer, without taking away from the "original" nostalgic feel. We feel our dedication, hard work and determination, will set us above the rest.
Journey through an interactive world, you could find yourself on a quest to slay a fierce dragon, or be a member of clan, which strives to be an unstoppable player killing force.
Below we will detail just some of the features and content RSCEmulation has to offer you:
Wilderness Downsize:
We noticed the wilderness was too large, so we decided to cut fractions of the wilderness out, essentially "shrinking" it, to maximize the potential of interacting with another player more frequently.
Take note of the northern and eastern locations of the wilderness map.
A Redesigned Edgeville:
Edgeville seems to be the main player "hub" for RuneScape Classic servers, so we decided to give it a major overhaul. You will notice we have utilzed the space west of Edgeville bank to place the auction house, emporiums (shops), and other useful skilling objects (ie: stoves, furnaces, etc).
A map overview:
New Settings Interface:
We have decided to add on to the default "tools" (wrench) menu by adding a clickable more settings option. Within this interface, you will be able to adjust many important/useful features.
Auction House:
A natural merchant? Use the easy-to-use auction house, to buy or sell items to other players.
This feature is specifically handy for people looking to buy items when the market is not so active (late hours of the night), or sell items to other users for profit, without needing to be online to directly sell it to them.
New Chat Interface:
We have completely redesigned the way you communicate with others, by changing the default interface for chatting, and other important messages and notices. You will notice the different tabs along the bottom of the chat window, which will allow you to communicate in that tabs specific "channel". The "All" tab will display messages and notices from all of the tabs combined.
Daily Quests:
Roam around the world of RSCEmulation, if you notice an NPC that has an exclamation point (!) over their head, speak to them to start a "daily" quest which can be very rewarding. To see which daily quests are available, navigate to the "quests" tab in-game, and take note of the "Daily/Custom" quests section.
Once on your daily quest, if you have completed the task(s) the quest giver has given you, you will notice the NPC which you need to turn the quest in to, will have a question mark (?) over their head that is colored yellow. If the question mark is greyed out, it will mean you are on the quest, but have not yet the requirement(s) to turn that quest in for completion yet.
Keep in mind, some of these daily quests are repeatable, making it easy to "farm" them to your benefit. To distinguish between if the quest is repeatable or not, you will notice the exclamation point (!) over the NPC's head will be colored magenta.
Yellow (!) means the NPC has a daily quest available. Magenta (!) means the daily quest is repeatable. Grey (?) means you are on the quest, but cannot turn the quest in, as all requirements have not been met. Yellow (?) means you have completed the quest requirement(s) and can turn in the quest.
Clans:
A natural leader? Create your own clan, invite others, and claim your spot as the top ranking clan on the server.
Within the clan interface, you will be able to manage your clans members, search other clans and rankings, plus much more.
RuneCrafting:
The popular RuneScape skill "RuneCrafting" has been replicated and implemented. Kill NPC's around the RuneScape classic world to obtain talismans, which will lead you to RuneCrafting altars, where you will be able to craft your rune-essence stones (obtained by mining rune essence rocks) in to usable runes to cast magic spells.
NPC Database:
Search through our in-game interface to find out what monsters exist, what their strengths are, and what they could potentially drop.
Items On Death:
Curious what items you'll retain if you venture off to the wilderness to fight another player, take on a tough NPC, or just for keeps sake? You'll be able to do so, by navigating to the inventory (bag icon) in-game, and clicking on the "items on death" text at the bottom of the window.
Phew, that was a long read! We hope through this post, you see our dedication and ability, to bringing you back the best RuneScape Classic server in existence. Join us on this great adventure.
All of this and more are available for free on Android/PC/Linux/MacOS.
See you in-game adventurers, RSCEmulation Staff Team
Wow, this is exciting stuff. I'm glad to see that the wait has paid off! Your hard work does not go unnoticed. Thanks guys, and I cannot wait to see y'all in game on launch night!
edit: Love the new chat interface! I peeped that in a screenshot posted a while back. It looks clean AF. Hopefully everything is as polished as that beauty.
Also, just realized I'll be at work for launch and RSCE is blocked there. Bummer. :S
features are looking great! i can hardly wait to see the turn out. unity was desolate for so long, i was beginning to think rsce had died all together.
Is there a way to minimize that chat? I feel like it takes up half the screen. Should be optional to use the old one.
Hey, you can also "hide" the chat very easily by clicking two times on the "All" tab.
In the future I plan on making it dragable so you can customize the size as you prefer it. But it will take quite abit of time to make that happen so it will have to come in a later patch.
Heres an example of the "Hide" feature.
Read pm's and stop thinking that i'm not important... stop ignoring me I've been by yourside looong time it's time to love meback
