I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but in my personal experience, double experience has done more harm than good. People create far too many characters during these events, and in a sense, it overpopulates the game world (based on actual population).
For an example, during double experience events, some people have created in upwards of 20 characters, and in my own opinion, no one should need that many characters.
We also still want people to progress in the game world, not just be able to log in, and reach "end game" within a week. With these events, we feel you train up your character, then wait around for something to do with them (if you do not quest, skill, and focus on PK).
I also feel with the current experience rates, double experience is not needed. That being said, I am not completely ruling the suggestion out.

I would stay firm on this. It'll only prolong the interest in playing here long term. Skilling exp is borderline too fast as is (subbed). I'd probably consider knocking it down.

It may give the economy a much needed boost and players incintive to work on skills that PRODUCE gp rather then recycling the existing gp with trades.
The EXP rate is amazing already, maybe a holiday event with sub benefits rather than double xp?
Honestly, if the exp rates were any higher for too often it does overflow the market and cause instability 😋
