You need to allow access to apk files or downloads outside of the google play store.

Go to settings, security, and you have to check the box next to the words unknown sources so you can allow installations from any app. You should uncheck the verify apps box also during this time. You can uncheck the unknown sources box later after installation has been done. You can re-check verify apps once installation complete.
