I noticed that when I afk on NPC's that are lvled in the 40's that I still take significant damage while having full rune kite and 88 defense. I don't remember this being an issue on RSC or the last time I played this server before it shut down. Is the combat formula different or broken?

I feel like hob goblins and animated axes shouldn't be able to do so much damage on 88 defense with full rune plate and kite.
