That would be amazing to have double xp weekends, helps players who are grinding hard and spend long hours to get the stats they want make it go by a lot faster. +10000
instead of double xp make event weekend like island with new npc with more xp per kill + some more other skills to get like prayer ( make baby black drag, who drops just d bones ) range or whatever .... like lord zedd posted " training grounds are packed " it is ... its more then 2 players share 1 NPC ( like 5 spiders and 6 players afk training )
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but in my personal experience, double experience has done more harm than good. People create far too many characters during these events, and in a sense, it overpopulates the game world (based on actual population).
For an example, during double experience events, some people have created in upwards of 20 characters, and in my own opinion, no one should need that many characters.
We also still want people to progress in the game world, not just be able to log in, and reach "end game" within a week. With these events, we feel you train up your character, then wait around for something to do with them (if you do not quest, skill, and focus on PK).
I also feel with the current experience rates, double experience is not needed. That being said, I am not completely ruling the suggestion out.

+1. Double exp would flood the game. Its been live for what 3-4 weeks now? Reaching the 'end game' is the best part for me, over months if need be.

When you put it in those terms that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for your honest opinion. +1
FYI the 10x rate for xp is by no means ‘slow’, in rsc even the best melee training spots give you under 30k/h so suck it up with these rates and stop being lazy fucks.

you're wrong. in a small community like this, it's completely opposite what you said about no one needing that many accounts. if you really want to populate more than couple different PK'ing levels(flats and some border 33s etc), you need to either have tons of people or X amount of people with tons of accounts. this game is very boring if you have 2-3 accounts, 1 of them being your main, 2nd of them being your mid-level PK'er and 3rd of them being border PK'er. there should be different account builds and there shouldn't be different combat levels people are PK'ing or otherwise whole PK'ing concept doesn't even work in theory.
i'll give you an example:
scenario 1.
- you see a defense based account on your 40 1 99 and you realize you have no chance to kill that guy. you decide to run/go away because of how this game works.
result = fights did not happen. you had no use for your hard work in here.
scenario 2.
- you see that same guy, being on your 40 1 99 account but you have different kind of build ready waiting, ready for that type of builds and you decide to go for it and see how it turns out.
result = fight did happen. the game gave back something for the time you've invested in here.
i'v said it multiple times that the most unfair playfield is when there's low enough rates for 95% of the community not to make more than couple accounts, but high enough for that 5% to make tons of accounts when they're gaining full advatange of that situation. it would be way more fair if there wasn't any XP limits and you could purchase those PK'ers via subs just because if you don't have that much time in your hands but you have money, you could still have those dream PK'ers of yours and if all you got is time but not money, you could still train all those PK'ers by yourself. there definitely should be way more options than that old "traditional" way of training accounts because people have had enough of it. the difference of buying a sub and training that into a PK'er and buying a sub and changing it to a PK'er is time. if the thing grown up adults lack most is the time, why we are asking them to spend all that time into training those accounts instead of actually PK'ing with them?

I never agree with Pegi, but he does have some points.
Double exp IMO does in fact help boost players to get on and play a little more than usual. Maybe they'll make 20 accounts, but does that really affect anyone? I've seen over 20 jammy accounts, and that doesn't stop anyone from playing or pking.

Pegi is just opinionated, not a bad thing, but that's just what it is (it doesn't make him or me wrong or right). I know some people already have multiple accounts, but us giving that boost (yes entices more people to play / create accounts), but for longevity's sake, I've seen it in the past do more harm than good (just my experience).
I see valid points on both sides and that's why I haven't ruled out the possibility in the future. I am just stating my reasoning for not wanting to go ahead with it, due to previous experiences that have not gone in favor.

we have had all kind of XP rates but what i said above there, would be something different. im not a fan of either those options(high or low XP rates), im just fan of having an active PK'ing scene where everyone would have a chance to have an account/accounts, whether you're father of 3 or working 60 hours a week.
i'd really like to see something different happen because let's be honest, we've seen it all. if people can't afford it time wise, well there's an option to "bypass" that progress. if you have a time but not money, well there's a different option for that as well. we need different kind of options, to gather all the player types together, to have them on the equal platform to actually populate this game and sticking with medival way, which XP rates really are, can't be the only option. if you wanna stay competitive year by year, you definitely need to adapt and sticking with same old methods from private server to another, won't be nothing but as you said "seen in the past" stuff.
it doesn't need to be anything else but an option. traditional way would still be there, but if you can't afford the time, then you could go on other way and in that way, we could maximize the potential players.
