I didn’t become a member until after I played for two years, in 2003, and my favorite city is split between f2p and p2p.
F2P: Varrock reminded me of Home. I’m from a big city and that’s exactly what it’s like: pure chaos lol. However, it showed that no matter what form of interactions humans have, virtual or irl, they’re habits transfer nonetheless. Varrock was a central hub because it was a vast city and we made as such.
P2P: Ardounge is where I got lvl 70 ranged, just chilling with my phat, playing it cool with all the 110+ players (I was 12 alright). Majority of my time in P2P was in ardounge. The ppl were dope and had some legit convos back then.
I’ve always had a strange affection for Draynor myself. Perhaps it is due to the nostalgic nature of all the memories I shared there. The staking scene was always lit at Draynor back then, and the Mage Wall (HOLLA IF YOU HEAR ME, OGs!) was always a great source of lulz and camaraderie. I remember “The Oracle” cleaning me, at minimum, three separate occasions at that Wall.

Ahh the oracle... there's a name I haven't heard in a while. He definitely dominated the late RSC mage staking scene for a bit. It was unfortunate how Draynor became the de facto main city at the end due to the game population tailing off.

Your point about the population tailing off is precisely why I wish we, as a community, could band together. There’s literally 200 of us playing RSCE across the globe, and if you ask me, that’s too small a number to be flaming each other and having people quit.

I always loved Falador. Used to always hang out next to the mining guild and bank back in 2002 with all my friends. Had some awesome drop parties, and the mining guild when bored.
