im not sure if this has been posted yet or if we're allowed to talk about it, but the real rsc has been open since January.... so if you have a membership you can actually play the real thing. once again im sorry if this isnt allowed, i just found out and im pretty excited about it and wanted to share it with you guys

There is a reason why people would rather play private servers rather than retail classic. Here is a list of just a few reasons as to why:

- Cannot be played on mobile devices
- There are no custom options (ie, zooming, fog of war, roofs etc).
- Training is dreadful due to 1x experience rates (lots of people can't recover their characters).
- The amount of time it takes to wander the world takes too long.

And the biggest reason (in my personal opinion)

- The original RuneScape Classic has not evolved at all. Although it was the game we all loved growing up, it still lacks any change, so people aren't really enticed to play (nothing draws them back to the game).

People now have multiple options with private servers which are populated, so for that reason, people aren't going to switch back to something (I feel) is inferior.
