hey just came back from 2013, and i keep getting kicked and having connection lost every 3-5 seconds. any ideas how to fix this?

Perhaps restart your router? No one else is having issues so it must be your own service?
Try watching a video online. See if it buffers etc

Assuming everything else runs smooth and youre on Windows os. Try clearing your dns, open up your cmd (command prompt) as admin and then type the following lines: 

ipconfig /release 
ipconfig /renew 
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns

i did all of those, still doing it maybe there's a setting in my router i can change ? although it has improved not doing it nearly as much

Hmmm it could be millions of things combined tbh. Hows the internet running on your pc like generally? Like YouTube, social media etc do they respond quick enough?
