You're pretty much right on that point Lorin. I just thought I could gain some wealth within event week because my bank is like 200k, but overall I gained 0(zero) rares during event week - call me bad luck Bryan. I'm playing mostly RSC for pking and staking. There are people on here for different reasons - skilling, questing, getting all 99's etc. So I don't just feel like fishing 20,000+ swordfishes to buy an party hat to stake with while people got multiple rares during event week. That's just my thing and my opinion.

While I’ll agree that fishing 20,000 swordfish is indeed a painful way to acquire wealth (and I may be showing my homerism as it pertains to holding onto the tried & true method of grinding), I just feel that it is in the true spirit of the game itself to work hard and attain that which you want to acquire. Yes, I will agree that for those of us who managed to snag our share of the loot during Event Week that it can be perceived as an unfair advantage. However, I seem to be drawn back to the days when Runescape Classic was at its peak; when we all played the original server and 99% of the population didn’t have a single rare. It never discouraged any of us from carrying on and working hard to get to the point we wanted to be at. I was around original Runescape when they dropped rare items originally, and never managed to snag a single item. But I know I am not alone when I state that it didn’t stop me from enjoying the game and finding other ways to obtain a party hat or other rare.
I hope that the event week did not kill that will for most of you to continue on in the true spirit of the game. Rares are still pretty affordable, and attainable. Don’t throw in the towel.
Economy is not very good and put together. Besides world drops, rares only benefited high level shared accounts that had 5+ accounts flats that could grind high level npcs and wilderness

I got a scythe drop and you picked it up while I was being tagteamed by 88s.. FOH with saying you didn't get anything
Nerds love pixels so new pixels meant more nerds, no pixels no nerds no player count
+1 haha sad but true (funny though, thanks for the laugh)
No but in all seriousness, Lorin, I couldn't have said it any better myself.

Well i know that alot of pkers left after the beginning, and the reasons have been stated many times in the past. If i started to talk about them now, i'd just get told to stfu and stop crying, be patient, good things are coming ! ha. Understandable but when people hear the same stuff for years it gets kinda boring, Well lets just hope they come back.
Btw, where the pking update which was supposed to be released 2-3 months ago? or any word on it? or any word on what the update is even about? These are the kind of things which makes people frustrated.. Reminds me of l3g4cy when they were saying the same shit about slayer and when moody bought the server they hadn't even started the whole thing lol. Hopefully that's not the case here.

We actually put out a post regarding what our plans were moving forward with the second part of that patch. With our "events" week and now our Easter event, we have had limited time to work on said patch.
We are online daily as a team, working hard on content and updates. I understand how it may come off, as it has happened in the past, but I assure you that isn't the case/our intentions.
We have put out a decent amount of updates since the launch, but it seems it's never enough. What needs to be understood, is competing servers have multiple developers who can assist with game development. Here, we are limited, so it may take a little longer to deliver said content/updates.
We are working on educating and adding to our team, to eliminate some of the down-time experienced.
