It was probably late 2001 or so and I was around lvl 60 CB. Dude named x smoke x told me he was quitting and said I could have his character. It was combat level 81 and I was like oh yeah man. Logged in and the combat stats were killer so I immediately drop traded all my shit which was probably addy armor with rune long. Went down to the end of varrock sewers and tore up the moss giants and I was like hell yeah baby this character is badass.
About an hour later password was changed and he jacked all my shit. Never fell for this again.
My friend introduced me into the game scamming people with Adam long swords and swapping out iron. Lol. Kids are so awful.
Someone I shared with (I suspect it was xpkerx) stole my char for 6 months because they put me on p2p and I couldn't get it back until the subscription ran out. Brutal.
