Out of curiosity, how many ppl who voted were on a new or hardly ever used account? The only reason I ask is because the vote count is clearly (monumentally) towards the eliminated characters and items. That sounds like something people from there would want more than current players here. (of course, I'm sure players split between servers voted as well).
I'm 30 levels off max and voted no. However, i would gladly change my stance to stats only, no banks after talking to some people about it. Edit: combat stats only
Personally, I’m just not sure what else the Staff have to do to please a community of a game that is so old and deeply rooted in nostalgia and repetitiveness; it’s kind of the name of the game here.
Think about it, we’ve all got: - A fully functional Auction House to ease trading transactions and allow you to reach other players of different timezones to ensure a fair shot at selling items.
- A Wilderness complete with portals, dragons, and other amenities to chase. The majority of the server prefers PKing; what’s so bad about the Wild that it has become not good enough all of a sudden?
- Ridiculously high exp rates to attain stats that allow you to play and compete at the level at which you desire. Up to 22x on Combat stats is insanely helpful, anything more than that and they might as well just GIVE you the character build you want.
- A Staff that DOES care about this community, and the future that it holds. Some seem to feel otherwise, and I’m here to tell you that you are mistaken.
Things are just simply not as bad as people make them out to be. This server is actually pretty bad ass. A lot of time & effort went into ensuring we continue on the spirit of Classic and for some reason it’s just still not enough for a majority of you. Even after listening and implementing changes that the majority votes on, most are still unhappy. Why is this? Does anybody care to shed light on the matter?
I guess I’m just missing something here. It seems like hard work and dedication have fallen by the wayside and a lot of players just don’t care anymore to work hard for things or stats. I understand, we ALL have lives & careers & families to tend to. By all means, that should take precendent, but in the meantime, the server isn’t going anywhere, so chip away until you attain that which you seek. It’s a simple formula. I’ll never give up on this server & community so long as potential remains, which it always has. Love you guys.
I voted to allow with no items. I am all for bringing in new players. I do ask with this be combat only stats or skilling stats also. I would be very against allowing maxed accounts from another server being allowed to xfer. I understand why this conversation is happening and I think I have put in as much work on a account as anyone. I hate to see someone walk in and simply buy the stats but in order for the server to prosper I think this needs to happen. Also Emu is trying to be competitive with other servers doing this, I think that is why we have lost some players is because another server offered this same thing.

So is Fah and Dummis. This transfer idea stolen directly from Rev. The x1 "hard mode" and Stats Panel stolen directly from Fah and Dummis. No original ideas, just desperate attempts to keep this going until everyone comes to the realization that it's already too late.

Contrary to what you think or believe, we had no information regarding what Fah and Dummis had planned for their server (including the stat panel). Moody rebooting a server is irrelevant. Fah and Dummis launching a server is also irrelevant. Just because we have a poll asking our members regarding transfers, does not mean we "stole" any idea(s) from anyone, or any other server. It is an attempt to see what our users want, rather than have a dwindling player count.
Desperate? I wouldn't say so. In a perfect world would we love to see our count higher, or the community not so divided, of course. That's just not how it is, or how it's ever going to be in this scene. If there is a demand to play we will continue to strive towards bettering the server.
I feel your post was unnecessary, but you're entitled to your opinion, and I will respect that. I do feel the negativity you portray, is exactly what this server does not need, and is what causes players to not want to even visit here.

People need to understand that we aren't lying when we tell you we are making next to nothing from this server. We aren't here for a "cash grab". We are here because we love the game, know the potential we have as a team and community, and would like give RSCEmulation the attention it deserved / deserves.
V1 was not my doing. I took over v1 when Luke (Kryptix) had passed away and was left with a huge mess to clean up. I found it was next to impossible to do, so I launched a v2. V2 was a learning curve for me, I made some mistakes, which I had since learned from. When V2 was handed to Blake (Saders), it was promised the attention it deserved, but never ended up getting it. Shortly after Blakes passing, the decision was made to close it (not under my ownership). I tried to launch Unity, was promised by multiple developers they would assist me, all of which bailed without doing anything.
We are now here, with an active developer, and a great staff team. Yes we understand that we have failed to meet some ETA's and some of the updates took longer than anticipated, but we still care for, and love the game. If you or others feel it is too little too late, then it's a shame, because we are invested regardless. Our options are to keep moving forward, offering what we can, when and where we can. You or others can choose to trust us and ride this bus, or bail out, and venture elsewhere.

It's either a full V1 reload with skills+banks or things will never work out as most playing activity and efforts were made on there. All those server restarts never really lasted a year as all of them had a subpar experience compared to what ppl enjoyed on V1 and this current server will be another 1 to the dead server list soon lets be honest. People just leave after a short while due to these fresh server restarts wanting to emulate the grindfest drop rates of real rsc or even worst and absent of good features and while expecting players will somehow stay and continue to play with these frustrating aspects and hoping things will work out,it just doesn't work like that.
To reiterate again that most of the players efforts were made on V1 and it had the most consistent high player count during its run, this is specifically due to the good features that it had, fair npc loots with fair percentages and a very satisfying combat formula that actually reflects your actual combat stats and not getting hit by a chicken at 99 def full rune or not which is does on here which is retarded and it makes logical sense which made the pking, staking and farming scene very active and enjoyable experience back in V1.
I think Pyru, at this point, people just don't feel like they have trust. And believe me, I'd love for the server to flourish. I've been an advocate since I started. I also played early emu.
If communication and solid updates are the norm from here on out, that's good, but lately we have taken a hit, and I hope it's not too late.
I guess we have to look at, why here? What would make someone want to play here, as opposed to strictly on the competition (who has slayer coming, that's sure to draw).
What can be done to make the current name emu (and the staff) have, better? Like I said earlier, I'm all for discussion to make this place last. But reputation needs worked on even in administration, from what I've gathered from players.

Transfers have to be VERY careful, and even a percentage of bank is eco flood. I'm not sure people realize just how much STUFF is on rev alone, in addition to the drastic impact a flood of accounts, especially high end, would have. Plus why would I skill when I have a rev with many 99s?)
New servers are coming, too. That has to be considered.

Understandable and as I stated, if people feel it's too little too late and don't have the will to trust us, then the only thing we can do is focus on new players and appeasing to the current loyal players. As much as it sucks to say, if the players aren't happy here and do not have any faith in us, then it's pretty much pointless to try and win them back by appeasing to them if they're happy elsewhere.

Team territories for benefits, making new amulets to help slay dragons/demons, new prayers that benefit skilling and farming. The game shouldnt die at 40 prayer, why the hell would it be maxed at 99? Put your thinking caps on and lets get it going.

basically, rates in RSCE have been below 0.00001x for a long time, it's basically training with 100% fatigue and you get no experience at all UNLESS you started today and started to gain experience for X amount of time and someday in future, it stops like the login possibility for your character.
